 Biography
Italy’s best kept secret no more, AT THE SOUNDAWN play a unique and unfettered style of music that can only be described as beautiful, crushing and ethereal. Formed in 2000, AT THE SOUNDAWN have been crafting their newest effort and Lifeforce debut “RED SQUARE : We Come In Waves” since 2005. With “RED SQUARE : We Come In Waves,” AT THE SOUNDAWN effortlessly commands the sounds of Mogwai and Tool while combining them with the hardcore urgency of Shai Hulud and the dynamic indie rock power of Radiohead. The musical output created is poised to impress and leave the listener asking for nothing more.

“RED SQUARE : We Come In Waves” was produced by Riccardo Pasini at Studio 73, best known for his work with the underground and metallic Italian acts Ephel Duath, The Secret and Slowmotion Apocalypse.

AT THE SOUNDAWN join the ranks of Italy’s best and help create one of 2008’s most intriguing and mind-expanding aural outings.

In the band's own words:

"We have been friends for a long time and we all used to play in different metal and hardcore bands well known in the local area. In 2000 we all joined together just to have a bit of fun and to share friendship. Things slowly grew and in 2005 the project turned into a band: At The Soundawn. Our musical tastes grew too. We discovered new and different sonic landscapes that became firmly imprinted in our minds. That was the time when we developed a new way to approach music, totally based on the emotional flow. With our roots established in hard music we would like to move over, trying to create a synthesis of the sonic suggestions we get everyday. Actually we don’t know where we are going. Music is leading us and we just keep it flowing."
