Carson Taylor (born January 19), is an American recording artist. He began performing in at school plays and in April 2008 signed with Neon North Entertainment, a new record company with no artists at the time. During his early time at Neon North, he worked as a songwriter for other bands and artists such as Buller and Taylor Renee.
Released on March 16, 2009, his demo, Artificial Flavoring, was an attempt at success but failed to make waves in the music world. Its first two singles, "Candy" and "Dance Floor", co-written and co-produced with Caroline Established and Rachel Plumly, failed to make an impact. The album later was taken down from all digital retailers. In early 2009 he began writing and producing his own music with some help from Leo "Junefall" Lombardi. His mixed tape, "Truly Without", was more successful. The first single from the album, "The Wave", became the most popular and was followed up by a controversial music video staring Katie Valdes and Cassie Bevens.
Once he finished recording "Truly Without", Taylor started on his first big project. Taylor said he wanted "a complete piece of art, with no flaws." He started to write with Junefall and was recording tracks just for "fun". Taylor stated that the tracks were "best I've ever written." After posting the first single "Call Me" from the then unnamed album on his SoundCloud page, he was contacted by several record companies requesting to meet with the singer. Tate Music Group was one of the few companies to have the deal make it all the way threw to signing a contract but Taylor said "well.. I never thought I would be the one turning down a record contract but... I just can't do it yet..."
He reveled that his new album name is "I Have Problems" and that it would release on November 23, 2010.
Carson Taylor is inspired by pop/dance artists such as Lady Gaga, Little Jackie, No Doubt as well as techno musicians such as Robyn and Kelis.
