Hailed as “one of the best young bands in America,” Filligar is a rock quartet touted “one of the top 8 live acts in America” for 2011. Their most recent record The Nerve was nominated for Best Rock Album of 2012 at the Independent Music Awards, and they have headlined shows all over the country, including NYC (Bowery Ballroom, Gramercy Theater), Los Angeles (Troubadour, the Roxy), and Chicago (Lincoln Hall, Subterranean, Hideout). Most recently, Filligar toured with Counting Crows and opened for Alabama Shakes for the official Lollapalooza kick-off party at Metro. This year they have appeared at festivals such as SXSW, NXNE, CMJ, Canadian Music Week, Summerfest and Sunset Strip Music Festival. They have been compared to a younger Rolling Stones, and have also opened for the Black Keys. Their next tour will be the opening support for Brandi Carlile.
