PowPow is Cate Jackson Roberts and Jason Garcia from beautiful Austin, Texas. Jason had prior musical experience with his band Household Names; Cate was a writer that had never written song lyrics. One day Jason asked Cate to write some lyrics to a tune he had written, and to their surprise, a few months later they had written a handful of songs.

The duo will be releasing an EP, "The New Normal", in 2012. Featuring 6 songs, including the first single "Poison Words", the EP was recorded half with the help of (Cardigans engineer and Blondie mixer) Lars Goransson and half at home by Jason Garcia, and was mixed at Jason's home studio.
