NEW MUSIC FROM SWEDISH ROCK BAND "SUBURBIA"!
Swedens "Suburbia" are back with their third fullenght album "Assemble".
"Celebrating our ten year anniversary with this album feels great. It´s the most Suburbia-sounding album to date. This is how we always intended to sound and we´re really proud of how it turned out."
The band released the double A-side single "Divided / When The Lights Go Out" in early November and got really good feedback. "Divided", a guitar driven punk/rockish tune with the typical Suburbia-styled energic and melodic chorus and "When The Lights Go Out" a heavier, more static yet still with the strong chorus melody.
The full album contains 10 tracks of pure melodic rock. With one foot in the american rock sound and the other in the swedish sea of melodies, Suburbia goes against the wind back in Sweden. When the majority of the bands plays indiepop och metal, Suburbia is one of few stuck inbetween, in the world of rock, and they intend to stay there doing what they do best. Melodic rock with melody and loads of energy. Thats exactly what "Assemble" is all about.
"Our music is not meant to be hyper polished to the tiniest detail, coz thats not how we sound live. The guitars and bass will never be heavier than it sounds when we rehearse and the drums will never pass through a computer to set them completely straight. Thats just not us. Listening to a record by Suburbia will like hearing us live, just a little more produced."
Sound-wise inspired by the current american rock scene and bands such as Foo Fighters and Weezer, but also the powerpop of the 80´s such as Cheap Trick and Rick Springfield.
Check it out!
