They inhabit an alternate universe somewhere between reality and philosophy -- the unlikely union of the basement and the astral plane. Their sound straddles a unique threshold with each song being its own winding journey.

The first seeds of The Test Dream were sown nearly ten years ago when the three standing original members (Ryan Colt Levy, Derek Tramont and Brett Tramont) met in high school and formed the first incarnation of several musical projects that transcended time with a deep dedication not only to creativity but to each other as a band. After a handful of name and line-up changes (now with lead-guitarist Louis DiLorenzo), strings of demos -- compounded by personal and sonic growth -- The Test Dream have delivered their strongest output to date with their first full-length album, Shades of Love. Prior to its release the band completed a Self-Titled EP which launched their inaugural US tour in 2009. After a year of ceaselessly recording and with the help of long-time collaborators Kia Eshghi (producer) and KOIL (mix engineer) The Test Dream embarked on a new rhythmic odyssey to cultivate their most anticipated and sophisticated opus yet. Shades of Love was carefully engineered by and with the closest of friends is apparent in the details; there is an unshakable resolution and nostalgia that lingers in each note.
