Thought Experiment is the debut solo release from singersongwriter
and multi-instrumentalist Vanessa Cardui, best
known as the lead singer and songwriter for Heroincredible
(www.heroincredible.com). It is a complex exploration of
the many faces of love, which defies genre classification and
displays raw, naked emotional expression. The sound is
intimate, acoustic and natural, though at times
experimental, featuring a wide range of sounds from
guitars, mandolins and fiddles to pipes, bells, ocean drums,
spoken word, and the movement of water.

Vanessa Cardui’s solo material has been profoundly
influenced by the friendship and collaboration of other
shining lights in the Calgary, Alberta music scene, including
jazz violinist Karen Sim and singer-songwriter Sora, both of
whose studio talent are featured on Thought Experiment.

Thought Experiment is slated for physical release on
November 24th, 2011, and will be made available for
download through a number of digital retailers, including
Vanessa Cardui’s official website (www.vanessacardui.ca),
as of November 25th. A western Canadian tour will follow
in early 2012.
