Born in a developing new town on the west coast of Florida, Vito Genovese lived his entire life in the same county. When he turned 18, Vito moved north to Tallahassee to find an identity for himself. To help himself break free of the foreclosure induced by his somewhat-reclusive upbringing, Vito began composing music and releasing it to friends and internet peers. He began with experimental electronic and ambient music. However, this style did not prove popular and some initially wrote him off as "talentless". In 2010 Vito began to add lyrics to his songs. The result was more acclaim among those who heard his music and Vito began to be recognised among his peers as a real talent. Since then, Vito has gone onto adopting an electronic-tinged slowcore style which has a quality all its own. 

Vito Genovese continues to experiment with sound, aiming to improve his songwriting. Still unsigned, his music is available for free download at Rate Your Music and Last.fm.
