Vlado dZihan and Mario Kamien have done a fine job in collecting remixes to last years superb Freaks & Icons. On Refreaked, dZihan & Kamien recruite the talent of a bunch of their friends to take thier music away on a different plane than was originally intended. There ends up being some hit and miss tracks here but for the most part Refreaked is a success. The first two tracks really capture the essence of what dZihan & Kamien are all about. The opening track "Before" is reworked by a collective known as Herbert and the best track on the remix project is UFO reinvention of the already suave "Homebase". UFO just turn it into a masterpiece. Hefner even take a crack at "Slowhad Hussein". An artist known as Eddy & Ous does a fine job on "Smile". As usual with remix projects, they aren't really a true snapshot of what an artist is about.
