The Dum Dum Project is basically a project started by Sean Dinsmore. He and his crew saw a bit of success with their first album Desi Vibes and hope to continue along that path with Export Quality. He manages to do just that; Export Quality is a logical extension and not really that far away from Desi Vibes. What should the unsuspecting listener expect? Its Cornershop with not as much pop sensibilities and more electronica beats thrown in. Its Talvin Singh with a little more pop in the mix. There is enough East Indian influences here that it would be at home on the Six Degrees label alongside DJ Cheb I Sabbah. You will be dancing to its intelligent beats and catchy Indian rhythms. The Dum Dum Project is one of the first Asian Underground groups to surface in North America. There is enough classic instrumentation and vocals mixed in with samplers and drum machines to become a dancefloor hit.
