Bob Holroyd seems to have a talent for seamlessly integrating many different cultures music into one magical piece. This isn't his first album but from the sounds of it it's his first satisfying release as you can feel the confidence he has while putting together all the parts. More a New Age album than a world music albume because of the way that the different cultures are used even within the same track. He utilizes Asian singing, latin drumming, African rhythms, Irish Uilleann pipes, bamboo flutes - just to name a few of the many different things he dives into. This could have something to do with the many travels Bob has done on all continents. This particular recording even took him as far as Kenya and Gambia in search of new types of world music.
