What's a guy to do when you have Adult/Contemporary coming from your soul, but the city around you bleeds country. Joshua Armstrong seems to be stuck in that mix.
The title track is seemingly the most popular, soaked in broken-hearted lyricism. Though to be honest, there are a few tracks I enjoy here. "You're A Part Of Me" has upbeattempo and Armstrong does have a good vocal range which he abides by, John Mayer fans should flock. The very next song, "Show You The World", has more of a consistent flow and this track reminds me a bit of Collective Soul for some reason.
Though the truth is, Nashville, has been growing some very good artists (ie;Cactus's) outside of country and blues for quite a bit, Starting Over is a bit poppy and soulful, but bland nonetheless. I'd like to see something with more risk...
