With all sorts of reputable indie band names being thrown around in Imbroco's bio the expectations were high on this little ep. Names such as Mineral, Pop Unknown, The Imposibles, and The Stereo are mentioned and it is unclear as to if this is just a one-time thing or a full on band. By the sounds of this disc it should become a main focus (not taking away from any of their other projects). Imbroco is one of those bands that don't have a problem going from soft to loud in the same song (let's call it dynamic). Some tracks are remniscent of Weezer such as "The Rain That Falls Won't Slow Me Down". The guitar tones are really cool and ring out when they are quiet and become crushing when they are loud. The vocal delivery povided by Rory Phillips is great and he fits in naturally with the rest of the band members. Some may consider this shoegazer while others will look at it as emo but it's just a great pop / rock ep and I hope we will see more from this talented group.
