It seems as though vocalist Blake Schwarzenbach is trying his hand at something new and trying to wash his hands of punk all together. Not saying that the Jets have lost all their edge (they most definitely haven't). Just that the band is heading into the pop field. In order to fully injoy this album I had to throw away all expectations and come in with an open mind. This album opens up a whole new aspect of music for Blake and his Jets crew. They venture off into unfamiliar territory and come up smelling like roses. His voice works for this style of pop. Signs maturation and growth in general are shown here with complex arrangements. You just have to lose the Jawbreaker expectations and you can join in the fun.
