Explosions In The Sky is yet another one of those instrumental post-rock bands that really defies all laws of rock or pop music. Much like counterparts Mogwai and Godspeed You Black Emperor with their swells of guitar-based music and their vocal-less songs, Explosions is able to take you on a very intense journey. They are light on the volume to begin most tracks but completely unexpected they switch to 11 on the amp. This leads to a couple startled jumps from the listener but EITS wouldn't have it any other way. The album is only 6 songs, but it's enough to give you an idea of what they are all about. Friends, American Analog Set, were the one's who brought a live cassette of Explosions to Temporary Residence with a note attached that read "This Totally Fucking Destroys". That about speaks for Those Who Tell The Truth too. There is a beauty that lies in Explosions In The Sky and it would be wise for you to investigate further into the reasons behind the phenomenon.
