Juno - A Future Lived In Past Tense
Juno second full-length release is a smorgasbord of indie rock treats. I honestly could not get enough of this album. When I first listened to it I was a bit disappointed but after lapping up the remains like a hungry dog I realized that there was more to this album than one listen would reveal. The album has a dark and brooding overtone throughout but it doesn’t deter from the hope that Juno somehow shine their light on. They still borrow heavily from Jawbox but take the classic band to where they always had the potential to be. Juno also aren’t afraid of create a long album. A Future Lived clocks in at over an hour in length but as I said, the album really grows on you with repeated listens. The one thing that Juno keeps throughout the album is the dark feeling that seeps into even the most rocking songs on here. This album is a real treat.
