No, it's not always a bowl of cherries and great new music. Sometimes we endure pop/rock we enjoyed as children cause weren't large enough to change the dial, and if we were our parents were in charge anyways. Cristen Grey's sound just has that for my set of ears.  The Moving Dunes are a bit different, they have edge, and diversity. Putting the two together is what leaves their LP "10,000 Things", just a little underwhelming.

While the music is tactfully structured, the performers involved seemingly have talent as well, but it's just missing a bite that I need in my music. For instance, when there is a climax in So Much Better, the bridge to the final chorus has a bit of energy, but just does not grab at me. Track two Rock Bottom is a bit more bowed, follows a pop country melody that is just too corny.  "Out Of Control" is without a doubt out of her comfortability and I give her credit for being courageous.  But sounding like Pat Benatar meets Mr. Big? Wow, there's a name I hadn't thought of in a while, is Bill Sheehan involved here? I enjoyed the diversity these guys showcase in the closing tracks "Stir Up A Swarm" and "God Drove By In A Big Limousine". These have the best examples of natural harmony between all members.

Through all of this up and down interest level, I am honestly curious what this live show may be like. While I wouldn't pay more than a buck or two for this final product and I'll tell you why. Both Cristen Grey and the Moving Dunes seemingly have enormous talents and have met. I can't say they belong together, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did end up finding the right exact formula
