Ahh... Such sweet melodies. Knocked Out Loaded have a winning combination with their fragile vocals and unpredictable guitars and samples. Made up of Midori Hamada, Erica Maeyama, and Jude Flannery KOL take indie rock for a sweet ride. They mix influences such as Buffalo Daughter, Sonic Youth and Seam to make their own unique sounding pop. Unpredictable is the main thing that pops into my head when I listen to this ep. If I could come up with a fault it would be their lyrics - although not the main attraction here. Watch for some of the bigger indie labels to try and pick up this group out of New York.
