White Mice give the people what they want/what they want to give regardless of the people: collages of noise, found speeches and dank, greasy vibes that force you to redefine the word "enjoyable" while listening. As a result, "Ganjahovajdose" will be seen, depending on your constitution, another glorious peek into a band's astute psychosis, or a reason to leave the room and run back to the safety of Fox News, where the world is totally understandable, black and white, and there are no dirty words like "diversity" to taint your beautiful mind. Oh, did I tip my hand?
Mixed by Skinny Puppy's HiWatt Marshall, "Ganjahovajdose" is a Dadaist freakout, with sordid, jagged melodies, gaseously repetitive vocals, and a seeming desire to gross out even the most sturdy while making noise just one louder than the average noise band. Yes, six records in, they still wear the mice suits, but how long have the Residents been around?
The song titles are always half the fun, so I'll let you do a search to see for yourself. White Mice are a band that makes it impossible to form an objective opinion about them. Nerve-shattering melees rarely do.
