After reading fortunecookie's review I must say this is a good album. Nothing too challenging, just enjoyable music. Good find.

Laid-back, rather poppy singer-songwriters aren't always my thing. They can be too cookie-cutter for my tastes -- it seems that anyone with a guitar is making an album these days. But Greg Laswell has a quality about him that's unique. There's an honesty to his lyrics and music, and he proves that you don't have to be ultra-edgy to be interesting. "The One I Love" and "I'd Be Lying" are simply glorious and currently my two favorite tracks on the album. "Comes and Goes (In Waves)" and "How The Day Sounds" are also sweet and lovely, the kinds of songs you can fall asleep to, but won't put you to sleep. Laswell's first album is known for being a "break-up album," but I could also see "Three Flights From Alto Nido" guiding you through any tough times.
