This album is extremly depressing. After listening to it, you really begin to understand how dark of a time the artists are going through. Now, that said, the musical composition is oustanding, the voice is incredible, and the timing of each bar is awesome. I think this band read the clinical definition of depression and insanity and made an album about it. There's something about a doo-wop in slow motion that just isn't right, yet velvet underground pulls it off. Listening to it is like a trip to the looney bin. If there were a movie titled, "Clinical Depression", this album would be the Original Motion Picture soundtrack
