Other Truths is basically that one album that you have to get before understanding life's basic truths. It's driving guitars and irresistible, two drummers are only the beginning on this near-perfect album.
The album has four tracks, respectively named Do, Make, Say and Think. Funny, eh? Although there are only four tracks, they run over 8 minutes each and are like incredibly told stories.
"Do" is an up-tempo song that features the two amazing drummers and a wicked bass solo. It is incredibly teasing, as the build-up to the beautiful, shredding chaos is never ending. "Make" is more slow tempo, with rumbling tams and multiple echoed, distant vocals, creating a more spacey feel. After about 3 minutes, the song really picks up and gets you begging for more brass, until finally after minutes of torture, the climax arrives in face-melting bliss.
Other Truths runs right up there and even further than & Yet & Yet, Do Make Say Think's 2002 marvel. It is an album of outstanding brass and violin work, and masterfully looped and distorted guitars. Other Truths is a near-perfect masterpiece.
