Ricardo seems to have a way with Cuban style music regardless of his African roots. Actually, this is probably one of the best Salsa / Merengue / Soukous mixes I have heard this year. On this, their second album, Lemvo and backing band Makina Loca throw in a bit of funk into the already eclectic mix. For the best example of this turn to track 6, "Nganga Kisi" and if you aren't dancing by the time the track is over... Not only does Lemvo and company do the Cuban beats but they also do a bang up job on Afro beat. This is demonstrated on "Dans La Foret" which uses African vocal rhythms as the basis of the entire song. Be it African or Cuban, Lemvo proves that music is indeed an international language.
