Coming from the largely under-rated Vancouver based band, The Ids, is Sean Macdonald with his first solo outing. The album is a fairly happy (in sound anyway) album in the vein of the Eels where songs sound happy and pleasant but when you dig down under the lyrics you find out that most of the tracsk are dark. Produced by Todd Simko (Pure), the album has a very crisp and clear production which does this type of music. Sean successfully leaves behind all images that may have been lingering from his Guided By Voices-type band, the Ids and has moved into a more accessible pop sound.
