This album has a fantastic range of musical creativity. You can pick up definite influence from some greats like The Cure. Through the entire album Ariel Pink manages to transition from a cacophony of sounds to an electro funk groove, and then again into something like The Shins crossed with The Beach Boys and a dash of psychedelic chorus. This was the only way I could find to describe this album without listing a huge range of artists and genres.
Ariel Pink alternates between story telling and poetic lyrics, though much of it seems nonsensical at first. My biggest problem, if you can call it one, was that I had to listen to most of the songs several times before I could figure out the lyrics. But, on a whole this album manages to hold my attention and I enjoyed almost every part.

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti comes from a distant funky plant filled with short but very sweet tracks filled with guitar hooks and harmony vocals that just want to make someone giddy and wiggle maybe even in a go-go cage.
