Bernard has big shoes to fill with his father being none other than the infamous Luther Allison. Tone Cool seems to be scooping up all the up and comers. His style of blues is a bit different than other like artists because he throws in a bit of funk to the mix. Growing up, Bernard was exposed to all kinds of music and he feels that that is where his diversity comes into play. His guitar playing really shines on this album. He chose to cover Colin James' hit "Just Came Back" and although it doesn't vary much from the original he still does a bang up job on it. The blend of rock, blues, funk and soul makes for a nicely rounded album. Billboard Magazine has stated that the future of blues is in the hands of artists such as Allison. Only time will tell.
