Well, wasn't I happy to find out that the long out of print Up On The Sun was being reissued on Ryko. For those of you who may have only heard Backwater on whatever TV commercial they use it on, get in touch with one of todays most influential bands. Nirvana covered their stuff on the unplugged session. Hell, they even invited them to play. The Meat Puppets sound was more or less defined on this album and their previous Meat Puppets II. This album they find their sound a little more and Curt Kirkwood's vocals had really improved. This re-issue comes complete with 5 bonus tracks and a multimedia video. All off their other SST releases have been repackaged and released in a similar package.
