Ok, somethings weird here. In their bio, Moods For Moderns are supposedly from Detroit but, they sound too much like Halifax bands such as Sloan and Thrush Hermit and to top things off the third track on here is called Halifax. Either they visited the glorious Maritime city and fell in love with the music or this band is made up of transplanted Canadians. Anyway, the music enclosed on this oh so brief ep is some of the hookiest pop I have heard this year. All three members sing so it adds a great element to the harmonies. I will look forward to a full length from this Halifax, er uh Detroit three piece. Power pop at it's best.
