RecommendR.I.P. Mark Sandman aka genuis behind Morphine. I thought it appropriate to feature my favorite Morphine album this week after Marks untimely death. About the album, it seems everyone has a different fav but Cure for Pain is mine. The 2 string slide bass, sax, and drum sound comes to it's maturity on this album. Highlights of course are the title track, "Buena", and "Candy". Mark's voice is one of the most original one's in alternative music. It is the reason that we still talk about Morphine is such an addictive way. Cure For Pain is a must for any collection. Good late-night music.
