I stepped back when listening to this album, to my own youth, where I would record with the absolute minimum equipment possible, but tried to convey my own enjoyment rather than qaulity. This album conveys young enjoyment when playing such a mature genre. The track 'Whatcha Got? FUNK.' is an incredibly high quality track, with flowing solos and a great feel of movement, the band's cover of the Basement Jaxx tune 'Good Luck' is second to non and I can easily see it getting airplay soon. The band's vocalist Kirsty Barber takles numerous soulful singing techniques with such maturity that I could hardly believe she was a mere 16. On the note of age, the drummer Miles Santini, only 14, is a great motor for the band, with smart fills again not the usual per his age. Lastly the front player of the band Louie Swift, who in my opinion has to be one of the top jazz/funk keyboardists up and coming on the UK scene, and after witnessing his slick solos live at a college gig, I can easily say he will be the next Jools. This young band is one to watch, one of the best young funk bands in the North East.
