One of the better of the earlier single releases from Adorable. This came out around the same time as their first album, "Against Perfection", and features a track from that album, "Favourite Fallen Idol", as the lead. The other two tracks are both rarities which never appeared on any subsequent album (except bootlegs) but still can be found on torrents.
"Mirror Love" is a bass-driven quiet-loud-quiet track with a cool sound track about excessive narcissism and selfishness. On the other hand "Cool Front 23-6" has a more traditional wall of guitar noise sound to it. Both in their own way are the sort of tracks which many bands would give their right arms to have as a-sides, let alone the sort of oft-rejected bastard children songs that turn up on b-sides. But then again, Adorable were probably the best band to come out of the UK in the nineties. A real shame that they couldn't stick around.
