Slightly better than your average Japanese pop, Anzenchitai (Safety Zone) were the pin up boys of the eighties in Japan. They eschewed the traditional saccharine sweet format of a lot of Japanese pop at the time and seemed to borrow a lot in terms of music and imagery from the new romantics of the UK. In attempting to bring this somewhat different style of music to the Japanese mainstream they managed to have significant commercial success. Having said that, this would be considered somewhat derivative by British standards. Still, it was immeasurably better than what passed as mainstream in Japan at the time (Matsuda Seiko anyone - cute but really annoying). This no doubt contributed to the success the group achieved in their eighties heyday. "Futari" was just about passable but the B-side was poor. It has a reasonably catchy hook line. I think the title translates as "both of us" or "together".
