Very much a self-promoted track put out on their own VIOL label, this was a bloody good song backed by another bloody good song. In both cases, the band used an electric fiddle which made them unusual in the punk circles in which they travelled as it demonstrated a degree of musical competency beyond the usual three chords on a guitar format. Yet both tracks have a strong rhythm and some excellent instrumentality. If anyone ever doubted the ability of (at least some) punks to write a good melody and play it with skill, then listen to this. Bethnal were a largely overlooked punk outfit who deserved more recognition than they actually got. They pretty much faded from view as the punk era wound to a close.
