There were a lot of rather infectiously catchy synth pop songs released during the early part of the eighties by bands which eschewed the new romantics tag. Blancmange was one of the better bands who released such a track. This was definitely one of the better dance-oriented tracks which blazed a path and would eventually culminate in a cynical attempt to take over the music world with Frankie Goes to Hollywood a few years later. It has an interesting Arabic-music influenced theme across somewhat startled vocals. Definitely a winner, this one had hit written all over it. This song, however, was pretty much all they ever did.
