I will always maintain that no one can do Keith Richards like Keith Richards. Now many have tried, and Mick Ronson gives a passable impression of Keef on this. However, such a bloody good attempt is done on Rebel Rebel that I know people who think that this is a cover of a Stones track or even the Stones itself. Indeed, if it weren't for Bowie's distinctive voice, you could even be mistaken for thinking it was early seventies Stones. Still, that doesn't detract from "Rebel Rebel" being a class track. It is a real pity then that the single's rating is dragged down by what is a very poor B-Side.
