What's the point? No matter how many times soulless soul gets written off it keeps returning, like some zombie, from the grave. Last year we had Rihanna, singing about her flaps. Now we've got Estelle who duets with Kanye West about how she wants an American boy to show her round Los Angeles.

The thing is, musically, there is nothing here. People criticize the seventies punks for knowing only four chords, but no one criticizes this for knowing only three. Lyrically, it is repetitive and Estelle's voice is nothing to write home about.

So why do we have to have this plastered all over the airwaves? Oh, I forgot. We are not allowed to make up our own minds about music. We have to follow what the record companies, and their arselicking sidekicks in radioland, tell us we want to listen to. What is really sad is that there are huge numbers of people out there who think that music begins and ends with drivel like this.

There really is no hope for the human race, is there?
