Six Degrees stops off in the Middle East for their next installation of their Travel Series. As you know with the recent events in the Arab countries, it’s hard to imagine music this exciting coming from the ethnic mix that resides there. There is one interesting vibe that radiates from most of the tracks here and that is mystery. It is a spiritual mystery that the music tries to unlock. Only the artist will be able to tell you if they have uncovered the mystery. There are quite a few Six Degrees artists on this compilation like Karsh Kale, Dzihan & Kamien, Banco de Gaia, Ekova, and Euphoria. The other artists are just as deserving as there isn’t a bad track on the album. As Six Degrees albums usually do, Arabian Travels really breaks down borders and has chosen artists that are far from traditional. The beats and sounds that you hear transcend beyond the simple traditional sounds one might expect and incorporate many different cultures influences as well. The tone, however, keeps to that of the Arabian theme.
