On a previous Heartbeat album entitled Jack Ruby Presents The Black Foundation Mr. Ruby presented a number of influential Jamaican reggae styles. This is the logical companion in which he turns tracks from the afformentioned album into dub laden pieces. It is a bit confusing here on who the original tracks were done by as well as who is in charge of the dub version. King Tubby is mention as well as Errol Thompson in the dub area and Burning Spear, Justin Hinds and the Dominos, and the Heptones are names thrown around for original tracks. But the album does deliver on it's promise, "contains and hour of dub music". Needs some work on the very unhelpful liner notes though.
