When people talk about the problems of German techno pop, they rarely mention Hong Kong Syndikat. Not surprising really as the band were little known and never really had much in the way of widespread commercial success. Yet, when you think about it, whatever problems with German techno-pop you can come up with, Hong Kong Syndikat embodied them all. Very repetitive, with an almost robotic vocal style executed so poorly as to become irritating long before it becomes funny. I am not really sure why I bought this album. Suffice it to say that I do not play it all these days, and doubt I ever will.
