The A-Side is great, the B-Side less so. But such is the way of 98% of all singles. What I will say is that "Virginia Plain" has some great lyrics, a coruscating synthesiser piece and a jagged, sax led rockier feel to it. Perhaps that is why I like it so much. In truth I was never into Roxy Music and found most of their stuff to be too west-coast lounge music to interest me. "Virginia Plain" was something different and that is why I find this one of the few bearable tracks they did, certainly their best ever in my view.
