Although this has not aged well, it remains a good single for its age. "The Logical Song" is kind of sad, lyrically, but at the same time jolly in musical terms. It takes me back to a carefree time when life was simpler and this album was one of the few which we, collectively, could get our hands on. Not surprisingly, it received a heavy rotation. Not surprisingly, it has stuck in my mind and forever will be associated with the good times.
The B-Side, "Just Another Nervous Wreck" was adopted as his personal theme tune by a friend of mine around the same time the single came out. Something to do with the lyrics and a girl called Jane. This was the single, from the album, "Breakfast in America" which marked Supertramp's graduation to the big league.
