Legendary bluesman Otis Rush seems never to have got the recognition he deserves in comparison with his contemporaries. But this, his debut single, was a fine example of the slower Chicago blues style. Otis Rush was to prove a major influence on many of the rock artists who came after him - Led Zeppelin covered him extensively when they toured Scandinavia as the New Yardbirds in 1968. This particular number is notable for the quality of Rush's voice and the emotion he puts into the song which is delivered in a quite mournful and downbeat way. Worth exploring more of Rush's extensive back catalogue.
