Late blues from Howlin' Wolf here, and a cracker it is. To anyone familiar with Led Zeppelin, you will immediately recognise the link between this and their "Lemon Song" which was subtitled "Killing Floor" and incorporated part of the music from the Howlin' Wolf track, one of the reasons why Messrs. Page and Plant were frequently accused of plagiarism. The Howlin' Wolf version has a freshness and originality all its own and still stands up today. And the Wolf's distinctive voice lends it a character all its own. Like a lot of electric blues this was later to be sadly overshadowed by the rise of acts such as Cream and Led Zeppelin.
