I could take this album to an island. I could actually take Ben Folds Five to an island; his catalogue is that amazing. He keeps an amazing tempo with the piano, he's entertaining in concert and his band just continues to jam. Obviously a breakup album (song for the dumped), there's plenty of self introspection with this one. This album has received play at least once a week in my car for the last 14 years. It still amazes me that nobody knows of him.
Careful of your hands if you're a song skipper, this album is hot! Drums, horns, piano, jazz, blues and songs that just make you want to thrash things. Folds is the Elton John of the 90's. He currently on tour, I suggest catching him. You won't regret it.
