Excellent jangle pop EP from this quite forgotten British outfit. Like many of the bands from the late eighties, the Brilliant Corners arose in the wake of the, at the time, much maligned, C86 cassette. The song deals with a common lament which most of us must have experienced at some point - pining for the girl who was dating someone else. This one is four minutes of pure jangle pop pleasure, and it is a shame that these bands have been all but forgotten. But if you really want to check out some great little jangle pop numbers you could do worse than visit YouTube where a number of the old forgotten classics still lurk, posted by those who, like me, remember then fondly.
