This little ep has a lot going for it. Members of Electramone have regrouped with their old colleagues and have finished what the band started out to do. With a distinct New York flavour to them Orange Beauties have taken influences from as early as Velvet Underground to as current as Sonic Youth and melded them into a psychedelic rock / folk project. It has highs "Happy Pill" but not very many lows. Arthur Schupbach has a nasally vocal technique that reminds me of Jesus and Mary Chain as well as Lou Reed. If you enjoy laid back tunes with some guitar feedback oozing out all over the place you are sure to eat up the Orange Beauties. I hope they come back for more because this too-short-ep didn't quite fill my appetite for their swirling guitars.
