Definitely not an easy listen as this album sounds like, at times, your stereo is eating up the disc and spitting it out in disgust. But the whole thing is done very brilliantly. The album isn't all bleeps and blips though as MC Triple H and divas Greenwood and Carin add a human voice on a few tracks. Some tracks I found to be almost unlistenable, which alot of IDM (intelligent dance music) fans really dig, but most were completely mesmerizing and the groups talents were apparent. The group comes from Munich Germany and is often times compared to Autechre. You can see many similarities between the two and yet they still remain different. Not stuff that you could easily dance to but sitting back working on your computer would be an ideal setting for Funkstorung's brand of electric bleeps and computer generated noises. Special mention should be made about the very cool package this disc comes in with it's custom jewel box.
