Theres no question that when The White Stripes announced their retirement that it left a hole in many peoples musical hearts. The male-female duo, little hurricane, shamelessly, hope to fill that void. Much like The White Stripes, its hard to know the truth behind the relationship of Tone, singer/guitar player, and CC, singer/drummer. The duo originally met through a Craigslist ad that Tone posted looking for a drummer, and theres an obvious sexual tension in their dynamic. Where The White Stripes image, and to an extent their music, had a certain gimmicky edge, little hurricane, with songs like the excellent "Trouble Ahead", "Give Em Hell" and "Haunted Heart", have a dangerous side their blues-drenched rock-n-roll. Homewrecker, recorded mainly in Tones home, isnt an album filled of pretty little love songs. Then again an album with that title, what would you honestly expect?
