New Jersey's melodically favorable, and even light-hearted, New London Fire have an interesting hybrid of Adult Contemporary, Doo-Wap and even Ska riffs.
"Water Park" has an up beat melody and even features the aforementioned Doo-wop styled backing vocals. "Happiness" takes a walk on a more brut side than most tracks here. One of New London Fire's videos is "I Ran To Hide", a simplistic and acoustic break in the middle of the release. "Here I Am" immediately brings the level of pace back to form, and probably has the catchiest backbone. Another generally acoustic cut here is "My Dear".
While this album has good production and rhythm, there's very little in ways of fresh delivery. Perhaps this mincing and matching of random genres will spurn something worthy of your storage space in the future. For now, New London Fire is just not my cup of tea.
