It seems as though ex-busker Robert Bradley has found a style that appeals to many. Enough, anyway, to warrant the major label deal that he attained. I think he owes alot to Jeff Fowlkes and brothers Andrew and Michael Nehra who found the blind blues player singing on a street corner and invited him into their studio to jam. The rest is, as they say, history. Kid Rock. unfortunately, joins in two of the tracks and on the odd song you can hear some DJ scratching going on to create the feeling of hipness. Bradley's style is stuck smack in the middle of Soul and Blues creating quite an uplifting listen. Michael and Andrew throw in string sections here and there to add to the whole spiritual feeling. There are songs as well where the group goes out full tilt. Vocally Robert sounds very much like Seal.
